What BPM Is Afrobeats?

Afrobeats usually sits between 95 and 115 BPM.

Not fast, but bouncy

Afrobeats isn't a fast genre, but it feels like it because of the percussion. Shakers, congas and a kick that doesn't always land on the beat give it that bounce. You can sing on it laid back and dance to it at the same time.

Afrobeats or afrobeat?

Mind the s. Afrobeats is the modern pop sound coming mostly out of Nigeria and Ghana. Afrobeat without the s is the older genre Fela Kuti made in the 60s and 70s.
