What BPM Is R&B?
R&B usually sits between 60 and 100 BPM. Slow tempo, lots of room for vocals.
60 to 100 BPM
Why so slow?
R&B is all about the vocal. A slower tempo leaves room for long notes, runs and breathing.
Modern R&B often uses trap drums. Then you might see 130 or 140 listed while it still feels like 65 or 70. Tap along to the snare and see which number matches the feel.
