How to boost the bass of your track

  1. Choose your track. Drop a WAV, MP3, M4A or FLAC file in the box, or try the demo.
  2. Set the bass. The Bass slider decides how much low end gets added, from 0 to +15 dB. You hear it right away while the track plays.
  3. Download. You get a WAV file with the bass boost in it, for free.

What does the bass booster do?

The tool puts a low shelf filter on your track at around 110 Hz. Everything below that frequency gets louder, so mostly your 808, your kick and the bottom of your bass. The mids and highs stay as they were. Around +4 to +7 dB usually sounds fuller without turning into a rumble. Above that you mostly notice it on a phone or laptop, while on a good system it quickly gets too much.

More low end also means higher peaks. If your download would come out too loud, the tool turns it down a little so it does not clip. Want to know exactly how loud your file is? Measure it with the free master checker.

Combine it with slowed, sped up or 8D

The bass boost also works on top of a slowed + reverb or sped up version: pick a preset or move the Speed and Reverb sliders. You can try the other effects, like lo-fi, vinyl and 8D, for free. Downloading with those effects, as an MP3 or as a video for TikTok and Reels, comes with Slowed + Reverb Pro. Want a warm, dusty sound instead? Read how to make lo-fi slowed + reverb.

Can I bass boost any song?

Listening for yourself is one thing, uploading is another. You cannot simply post an edited version of someone else's song, extra bass or not. Read can you upload slowed + reverb songs?
