How to make 8D audio

  1. Choose your track. Drop a WAV, MP3, M4A or FLAC file in the box, or try the demo.
  2. Put on headphones and press Play. The 8D effect is already on.
  3. Finish it off. Add some reverb, or pick Slowed + reverb for a dreamy version.
  4. Download. You get a free WAV file with the 8D effect in it.

How does the 8D converter work?

8D audio is not a separate format. The tool slowly moves your track from left to right and back again. A full cycle takes about eight seconds, and the movement stops just short of the far edges so it does not get tiring. On headphones it feels like the sound is circling your head. On speakers you mostly hear a track drifting back and forth.

Tips for good 8D audio

  • Add a bit of reverb. Around 20 to 40% reverb gives it more sense of space.
  • Pick a calm song. On a busy track, 8D quickly gets chaotic.
  • Turn it into a video. With Pro you can make a video for TikTok, Reels or YouTube. Put a headphones note on screen. Also read how to make a slowed + reverb video.
