How to add reverb to your audio

  1. Choose your track or vocal. Drop a WAV, MP3, M4A or FLAC file in the box, or try the demo.
  2. Move the Reverb slider. Turn the reverb up or down while you listen. The speed stays at 1.00× unless you change it.
  3. Download. You get a free WAV file, with the reverb tail at the end included.

What does the reverb sound like?

The tool creates a spacious reverb with a short pre-delay, so the start of each sound stays clear. The highs in the reverb are filtered a little so it does not get harsh. The higher you set the slider, the bigger the space: the reverb tail runs from just over a second and a half to almost five seconds.

Tips

  • On a vocal, less is often more. Start around 15 to 25% and check that the words stay clear.
  • For a dreamy sound go towards 40 to 60%, or pick the Slowed + reverb preset straight away.
  • In a mix reverb usually goes on a send instead of directly on your track. How that works and how to avoid mud is in how to make slowed + reverb: the basics.

FAQ

Is this free?

Yes. Adding reverb and downloading a WAV costs nothing. Pro adds MP3, video and extra effects like bass boost, lo-fi, vinyl and 8D.

Is my track uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your file is never sent to a server and nothing is stored.

Which files work?

Anything your browser can play, usually WAV, MP3, M4A and FLAC, up to 80 MB.

Can I add delay too?

Not in this tool. To work out delay times that lock to the tempo of your beat, use the BPM to ms calculator.
